Frequently asked questions
Can I use both the web app and API?
Yes. Both are included and draw on the same balance, whether that is a monthly allowance or one-off credits. Use the web app for manual work and the API for automation — whatever suits the job.
How does billing work?
Pick a monthly plan — Starter is $20 a month for 4,000 PDFs and Business is $100 for 20,000, both $0.005 per PDF — and each PDF comes out of that month's allowance after it is generated. One-off credit packs are there as well, at $0.01 per PDF from $10 for 1,000 PDFs, to top up a busy month or to use without a subscription.
How do subscriptions work?
You are billed monthly and the allowance is refilled on each renewal. Upgrades take effect straight away with a prorated charge, downgrades at your next renewal, and you can cancel anytime from the dashboard — the plan stays usable until the end of the period you have paid for. That works out at $0.005 per PDF, half the price of a one-off credit pack.
Do unused PDFs roll over?
No. The allowance resets to your plan amount on each renewal and anything left over is not carried forward. One-off credits work the other way: they never expire.
Which is used first — my subscription or my credits?
Your monthly allowance is used first, then any free PDFs, then one-off credits. If the allowance runs out mid-month, credits cover the extra PDFs automatically until your next renewal, so nothing stops working.
Can I buy PDFs without subscribing?
Yes. One-off credit packs start at $10 for 1,000 PDFs, at $0.01 per PDF. A pack is a single payment: nothing renews and the credits never expire. It unlocks the same paid features as a plan.
What happens to my one-off credits if I cancel?
Nothing. Credits are kept separately from any subscription. If you cancel or it ends, they stay in your account and keep working. The subscription itself stays usable until the end of the billing period you have paid for.
Can I get an invoice instead of paying by card?
Yes, on request. Invoicing (NET-30), purchase orders and volume pricing are arranged directly — send us a message from the contact page and tell us what the finance side has to look like.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. Every new account starts on the Free plan with 10 free PDFs and no card needed. It includes every tool — HTML, Markdown, image and URL conversion, the PDF editor, merge and split, password protection, templates, bulk conversion and API keys. When you want more, start a monthly plan from $20 or buy a one-off credit pack; the API Explorer in the dashboard comes with your first purchase.
Do I need to verify my email?
Not to get started — you can sign up and use your free PDFs straight away. We ask you to verify your email address before your first purchase, and a verified email also lets you reset your password.
Are there any rate limits?
The Free plan allows 20 requests a minute. Paid accounts have no per-account rate limit, in the API or the web app. Very high request rates are still throttled at the platform level, and bulk conversion allows two jobs running at once per account.
Can I convert many files in one request?
Yes. Bulk conversion takes a ZIP of HTML or Markdown files — or files sent inline — and returns one ZIP containing a PDF per file plus a manifest with per-file results. A single job covers up to 200 pages, and the uploaded ZIP can be up to 50 MB.
What happens if some files in a bulk job fail?
The job finishes with the status partial_failed. Every file that converted is in the output ZIP, and the manifest lists the reason for each file that failed or was skipped. You are only charged for the PDFs that were produced.
Do I need coding skills?
Not at all! Use our visual web application with drag-and-drop—no coding required. Developers can use our API for automation.
What input formats do you support?
Both the web app and API support HTML, Markdown, images (PNG and JPEG), and public HTTPS URLs. Bulk conversion takes a ZIP of HTML or Markdown files.
What happens if I use up my allowance?
Any one-off credits you hold cover the extra PDFs automatically until your next renewal. With no allowance or credits left, the request is rejected with an INSUFFICIENT_CREDITS error rather than run up a bill — the same happens when the free PDFs are used up. Upgrade your plan or buy a pack in the dashboard and carry on; nothing else about the account changes.

A subscription allowance resets on each monthly renewal and does not roll over. One-off credits are different: they never expire and stay in your account until you use them.
