Merge PDF questions

How many files can I merge?
Up to 20 files (4 MB in total) run instantly. Larger merges run as a background job with up to 100 files, 150 MB in total and 5000 pages.
Can I merge only some pages of a file?
Yes. Give each file a page range such as "1-3,7" or "5-end". Pages are used in the order you write them, and a page can appear more than once.
What about password-protected PDFs?
They are refused with a clear message. Remove the protection first — merging an encrypted file without decrypting it would produce blank pages.
Is anything lost when PDFs are merged?
Page content, sizes and rotation are kept. Fillable form fields and bookmarks are not carried over, and digital signatures are no longer valid in the merged file — you are warned when a file has them.
How long are merged files kept?
Merged files can be downloaded again from Jobs for 7 days.
