Getting Started

How do I get started with PodPDF?

Sign up for a free account at PodPDF. You'll get 100 free PDFs to start with—no credit card required. You get the same speed and performance as paid plans. You can use our visual web app to convert files instantly, or create an API key to integrate PDF generation into your applications.

Do I need coding skills to use PodPDF?

Not at all! Our visual web application has a drag-and-drop interface that anyone can use—no coding required. However, we also offer a powerful API for developers who want to automate PDF generation or integrate it into their applications.

What file formats can I convert to PDF?

PodPDF supports three input formats: HTML (with full CSS styling), Markdown (GitHub-flavored with tables and code blocks), and Images (PNG and JPEG). You can convert these using either our web app or API.

How does pricing work?

We offer a free tier with 100 PDFs (lifetime quota). After that, you pay $0.01 per PDF with no monthly fees or commitments. Whether you use the web app or API, the pricing is the same. Free users get the same speed and performance as paid users—no compromises. Enterprise customers can get volume discounts—contact us for details.

Can I use both the web app and API?

Yes! All plans include access to both the web app and API. They count toward the same quota, so you can use whichever method works best for your needs at any time.

What happens after I use my 100 free PDFs?

User will have to upgrade the plan to paid ones to continue using

Do you offer refunds?

Yes, we offer refunds on a case-by-case basis. If you encounter technical issues or are unsatisfied with our service, contact us at podpdfapp@gmail.com and we'll work with you to resolve it.

Are there any rate limits?

Free tier accounts have a rate limit of 20 API requests per minute. The web app has no rate limits. Pay-as-you-go and Enterprise plans support up to 10,000 requests per second.

How long does PDF generation take?

Most PDFs are generated in under 30 seconds. Simple documents are typically ready in just a few seconds. Complex documents with many pages or images may take longer.

What are the size limits?

Content size is limited to 5 MB per request. Images can be up to 5 MB each with a total of 10 MB per batch. Image dimensions can be up to 10,000 x 10,000 pixels. Generated PDFs can have up to 100 pages.

How do webhooks work?

Webhooks allow you to receive real-time notifications when long-running PDF jobs complete. Configure a webhook URL in your settings, and we'll send a POST request with the job status and download link when ready.

Account & Security

How do I create an API key?

Log in to your dashboard, navigate to Settings → API Keys, and click "Create New API Key". Give it a name and copy the key immediately—you won't be able to see it again. Store it securely.

Is my data secure?

Yes! PodPDF is built on AWS infrastructure with industry-standard encryption. Your content is processed securely and stored temporarily (7-30 days). We never read, analyze, or share your data.

How long are PDFs stored?

Generated PDFs are stored for 7-30 days depending on your plan. After that, they are automatically deleted. You can download them anytime during this period from your dashboard or via the API.
